PLEASE CAREFULLY READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS for submissions:

MUSIC SUBMISSION CRITERION

1) We must have a WRITTEN STATEMENT saying that it is OK for us to play your music on Velcro Touch Radio. You MUST state that we have your permission to play your music in an email and that you own full performance rights to your music – this may be done in your letter of submission if you wish. If you are on a label, the label MUST contact VTRN and grant permission for airplay.  We cannot play your music on this show until we have such permission granted from you.

2) To be considered for airplay, you must provide us with MP3 files formatted in CONSTANT BIT RATE (CBR) of 128k or higher, in stereo or joint-stereo. We can play mono files during the live broadcast, however, please note that mono MP3 files can not be put into the auto DJ rotation.  You can also mail a CD of your music, but keep in mind this method will take somewhat longer to complete the submission process. Please contact us to obtain the street address for sending your compact disc to. *

3) Submitting covers (remakes of music from commercial artists, etc.) are only accepted if you have proof that you obtained a legitimate mechanical license from the original artist (or their performance rights organization). No exceptions.

4) The music MUST fit the show’s format genres or subgenres. Our format is: Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock, Pop, World and Electronic.  We suggest you listen to the VTR internet broadcast stream to get an idea of what we play.  The stream is active 24/7, and can be found at the following URL:

5) Send VTRN an email with “VTRN Music Submission” in the subject line, and stating in the body that you give us permission to air your music.

Please keep in mind that while this submission process is not a guarantee that you will receive airplay on VTR, we do take the time to listen to and consider everything submitted to us.
